Net Neutrality Letter

originally written June 15, 2006
Dear Friend,
Albert Einstein developed the theory of relativity using some books, a slide rule, and a pencil. If he had had the
internet at his disposal I might be writing this letter from the moon or mars right now. We have seen an amazing
change in the past ten years. The internet we have come to know has enabled growth in commerce, the arts, common
communications. It is, in it’s present form, a conduit which enables greatness, Presently it is in grave jeopardy.
Tomorrow Friday June 16th the Senate votes on the new communications bill. Under consideration is “The
Internet Freedom Preservation Act”. I know we are all disappointed in our government a lot of the time. Those
among our law makers who wrote this Bill are trying to work for us. If we don’t sit up and take notice why did they
bother? Apathy is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Thinking we can’t make a difference keeps us from trying. This is
our internet however it happened, it has brought the world together. Please help stop the greed of a few giant telecom
companies from wrecking this for all of us. Write and phone your representatives in Washington. Tell your friends.
Tell any one you think can help. Go to wwwitsournet.com to learn more.
warmest regards
Kerry
